2026 Entertainment Schedule

Join the Lewiston/Auburn Liberty Festival as we kick off Independence Day Weekend and celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with a free community event on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM in Lewiston’s Veterans Park (GPS: 52 Main Street, Lewiston, Maine)! Public parking available in area parking garages.

Enjoy an evening of live music, food vendors, novelty vendors, and a cash bar as we come together to celebrate this historic milestone. Live entertainment will feature Hairy Pie, an ’80s cover band bringing a rock show of the past with their own twist, and ISH, bringing the best of ’90s and 2000s alternative and classic rock like no other!

Be sure to also check out our July 4th festivities, including a parade beginning at 3:30 PM, followed by entertainment starting in both Lewiston’s Veterans’ Park and Auburn’s Great Falls Plaza, with the fireworks finale lighting up the sky over the Great Falls at 9:30 PM.

On this day, food vendors, novelty vendors, and children’s activities will be available on both sides of the river, and a cash bar will be on the Lewiston side as well.

Bring a lawn chair, your family, friends, and community spirit as we celebrate Independence Day Weekend and honor 250 years of America together!

Parade – 3:30 p.m.

We are excited to announce a Fourth of July Parade on July 4, 2026, as part of the nationwide celebration of America’s 250th anniversary. This historic milestone marks 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, and our community looks forward to coming together to celebrate this momentous occasion.

The Parade will start at 3:30 p.m. on July 4th — additional details, including parade route, to be announced and emailed to participants soon.

Twisted Steel Car Club Show – 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Be sure to check out the Twisted Steel Car Club Show  — they’ll be staging an epic display in the parking lot of the Lincoln Street Garage !

Matt Fournier – 6:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m.

Joanna Hughes & the Ditch Lilies – 8:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. 

JoAnna Hughes was the 2024 winner of Maine’s Got Talent and is honored to be part of the Liberty Festival this year. She is joined by her band, the Ditch Lilies, who were brought together through their love of music. The band includes native Mainers, Jeremy Liberty, Matt Howe,Dave Perreault and Norm Albert. The band believes that music is a universal language that is made to heal and connect.

Featuring the 195th Maine Army National Guard Brass & Rock Bands. Please bring any flags that may need to be retired. (Should it rain the event will moved inside at the Franco American Heritage Center, however, the flag retirement ceremony will not take place).
